Every year Mandela day is celebrated to highlight the impact “Tata” had on South Africa and the lives of people around the world. This year each class designed, constructed and displayed their efforts in a march culminating on the sports field.
The displays show the endeavours of the students and facilitators and were a tribute to the “global call for action that celebrates the idea that each individual has the power to transform the world and make an impact”. Nelson Mandela fought for social justice for 67 years and the centre celebrated the day by spending more than the 67 minute call in recalling his struggle.
Alpha Omega Charity Fund once again joined us in celebrating the day by providing a party for the students and a generous donation.
